1. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut

Although the Chiron Super Sport 300+ is generally considered to be the world’s fastest car, Koenigsegg claims that their Jesko Absolut vehicle can go even faster — although they have yet to provide tangible evidence of this. Boasting 1,600 horsepower and up to 1,106 lb-ft of torque from its twin-turbocharged 5.0L V8 engine and an aerodynamic body that creates optimal downforce, the $2.8 million Swedish supercar is primed for a top-speed test. Unfortunately, though, we don’t think that Bugatti’s parent company Volkswagen will permit the Jesko to reach 330 mph as they own Ehra-Lessien proving grounds in north Germany — the ideal locale for this type of endeavor.

2. Bugatti Bolide

The Bugatti Bolide, a track-exclusive marvel from Molsheim, is absolutely the wildest vehicle we have seen so far. Built on the same Chiron platform, this car comes equipped with an 8.0-liter W16 engine which runs solely off of 110 octane racing fuel — resulting in a whopping 1,825 hp and 1,365 pound-feet of torque! Compared to the Chiron Super Sport 300+, that’s 247 hp and 185 lb-ft more!

The Bolide’s maximum speed even with its track-focused aerodynamics is a remarkable 311 mph, faster than the Chiron which tapers off at 304. Aspiring to join this ultra-exclusive club of owners came at quite a price — $4.7 million for entry — but Bugatti announced that all models were sold out by early 2022.

3. Hennessey Venom F5

The team at Hennessey Performance Engineering in Texas is renowned for its excellent production of fast cars. Their previous model, the Lotus Elise-based Venom GT had an impressive top speed of 270 mph, yet they plan to achieve something even more remarkable with their latest release — the Venom F5. A twin-turbo 6.6 liter V8 engine will make this car capable of reaching speeds up to 310 mph, along with a staggering 1,817 hp and 1193 lb-ft torque! To add icing on the cake, prices start from $1.8 million but only 24 lucky owners get to experience its roaring power firsthand as it’s a limited edition!

4. SP Automotive Chaos

SP Automotive Chaos, a relatively mysterious new car brand, made its grand entrance late last year with an engine that boasts 3000 hp from twin-turbocharging and hybrid assistance. Boasting the capacity to reach speeds of over 310 mph and accelerate from 0–60 in 1.8 seconds -with a hefty $14.4 million price tag attached.

Limited to a maximum production of just 100 vehicles annually, SP Automotive is crafting each Chaos with individualized attention and care. It offers to personalize your car by choosing from a variety of features.

5. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a world-breaking automobile, officially claiming the record for top speed at 304.8 mph. Its quadruple-turbocharged, 8.0 -liter W16 engine will astound you beyond what we have seen in the Veyron and Veyron SuperSport; this beastly car has 1,600 hp and an incredible 1,180 lb-ft of torque (400 more horsepower than the original Veyron), allowing it to reach 60mph in just 2.3 seconds and eventually peak over 300 mph! In official testing done by Bugatti, they achieved their named speed — 304.8 mph! — with no difficulty whatsoever!

6. Koenigsegg CC850

Last year, the magnificent CC850 from Koenigsegg was unveiled in Pebble Beach. Featuring a retro design aesthetic and a slick semi-manual transmission system, this car is not to be underestimated when it comes to performance specifications. Its 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine — originating from its predecessor Jesko — delivers an outstanding 1,385 hp! Furthermore, Koenigsegg has asserted that drivers will be able to experience speeds over 300 mph with an acceleration of 0–60 mph within 2.7 seconds — a feat never before achieved by any other model!

The SSC Tuatara has certainly made its mark in the automotive world with their first attempt before setting a remarkable speed of 295 mph at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds. Although it was slower than its alleged 316-mph average, this supercar still deserves credit for becoming the world’s fastest production car — an impressive feat that comes with a hefty $1.9-million price tag!

8. Czinger 21C

Czinger’s debut vehicle, the 3D-printed 21C, packs a punch with its twin-turbo 2.9L flat-plane crank V8 engine that produces 1,233 horsepower and weighs only 2,734 pounds! When coupled with all-wheel drive capabilities it can sprint to 62 mph in an astonishingly quick 1.9 seconds while boasting a top speed of 281 mph on suitable roads. And since entering the market they have already earned numerous lap records proving their commitment to excellence in every detail.

9. Koenigsegg Agera RS

In 2017, Koenigsegg officially claimed the record for the fastest car in the world with the Agera RS. The company shut down an 11-mile stretch of highway in Nevada where its hypercar achieved an average top speed of 277.9 mph. That record has since been beaten by Bugatti, but the 1,160-hp Agera is still one of the fastest cars to ever do it. It takes just 2.8 seconds for the Agera RS to hit 60 mph.
